The Good Word From the Lord .... by i. hardesty

Today's reading was ....

Today's devotion ...

I am going to start a study on "Forgiveness" as each of us have at least one person we probably need to consider forgiving?

Why should we forgive? What's the point? What if it is not my fault?

and many other questions will be answered.

This is a biblical view from even personal experiences about forgiveness.

One of the first areas I want to touch on is the word itself ..

No, I am not going to break it down to a latin form ...

but I will explain this, to say, "I forgive you.." should mean,

completely, no grudges, no heart ache, no dread, no nothing!

"I forgive you" ... on both sides of the fence .... If ONE still refuses to accept the forgiveness it is not longer the other's fault. That situation of not forgiving is fully between you and the Lord.

Some of us have been hurt so deeply by others and to actually "forgive them?"  WHAT? oh my perish the thought.

Starting this week, I will be listing some things I have learned over the past 17 + years about forgiveness and the freedom one gains when you not only say those three words but, accept them when they are said to you.

Until tomorrow ..

In His Grip,

ilah
